Our Solmetex and Pureway Amalgam waste recycling system meets all requirements of the EPA Dental Rule and DOT/EPA-approved for storage and shipping to recycle dental scrap amalgam and amalgam contaminated items.
Waste amalgam items include: chairside trap, leftover or spent amalgam, empty amalgam capsules, chairside traps, sterilized teeth with amalgam fillings and more.and vacuum trap containers located by the vacuum pump. Even if a dental practice claims to be amalgam free, composite only, they can still generate waste amalgam from removed teeth and from chairside and vacuum pump traps.
