Effective, Safe, and Compliant Solutions for Biohazardous Waste and Infection Control for Dental Clinics

Dental practices, considered as small quantity generators (SQG), generate various clinical, regulated biohazardous waste and face the challenges to stay regulatory compliant. At Arch Technochem, we thoroughly understand these challenges of bio-hazardous waste management and infection control in dental clinics. We specialize in waste disposal solutions tailored to small quantity generators so dental staff can deal with these issues quickly, conveniently, and with peace of mind and you can focus more on your patients’ needs and production.

We have the right solutions across a range of problems faced by dental clinics like yours.

Sharps Disposal Isolyser®/SMS®

The safest and easiest way for your in-office sharps disposal.
Everything you need to collect, treat and dispose of sharps waste is included, with no hidden fees and no contracts to sign. Simply fill your Isolyser/SMS container with sharps (needles, blades, endo files, empty carpules and any other potential sharps). When it’s full, add the ‘catalyst’ packs to the container, causing the liquid to heat and convert into solid plastic polymer. This treats and encapsulates the sharps; rendering them, non-biohazardous, unrecognizable, unusable, and safe for disposal in the regular trash. It’s that easy!

Amalgam Separators

Amalgam separators are devices designed to remove amalgam waste particles from dental office wastewater. Amalgam capture and recycling are critical in dentistry to prevent environmental contamination by mercury, a toxic substance that can harm human health and the ecosystem. Federal regulations for dental recycling North America now require a full amalgam waste management program in dental offices that includes an amalgam separator for collection at the water level, and a solution for proper dental recycling of scrap amalgam (teeth with amalgam fillings, etc.).

We offer, two most effcient, reliable and recognized amalgam separators, NXT-Hg5 from Solmetex and Eco ll+ from PureWay, each with simple mail-Back recycling program.

Scrap Amalgam Recycling

Scrap amalgam waste items include: chairside trap, leftover or spent amalgam, empty amalgam capsules, chairside traps, sterilized teeth with amalgam fillings, and vacuum trap containers located by the vacuum pump. Even if a dental practice claims to be amalgam free, composite only, they can still generate waste amalgam from removed teeth and from chairside and vacuum pump traps. We offer scrap amalgam recycling systems from Solmetex and PureWay. Both the system meets all the requirements of the EPA dental rule and are DOT/EPA approved for the storage and shipping.
